Old Threshers Reunion 2008

So I have decided to take somebody's advice and post some pictures of OT.  Even though it is not really news more like history.  We still talk about it and laugh over all the great memories! Here are a few picture.  Enjoy!
This is were all the cooks live during OT.  and my Mom happens to be one of them.  The food is to die for.  It's all cooked over an open fire and it takes all day!  Thank you cooks!
We got to OT on wed. and got to watch the parade.  Some of our log village family was in it.
Preparing the inside of the tent for all the bedding.  (it was like the great exodus)
Tim along with Grace and Beth (his two side kicks) were instrumental in making sure the van was loaded and that we didn't forget anything.  They did a great job!  "Are you sure you have everything Tim?!?"  :p
Not many moms would rough it for five days and four nights in a tent in the middle of Aug. But our Mom isn't like many moms.  WE LOVE YOU AND THINK 'you adorable!'

Nicole feeding her face...  Have i ever mentioned how much fun I'm having with this girl?!?!
The school children
Micky=D
A bunch of us on a trolly.  We were really squished on those two benches.

After supper is over, dishes washed, chores done, and lanterns are lit, everyone gathers around the porch and the instruments come out and we play good old country folk tunes and dance the virginia reel.  It's all in a days work at the Log Village.  Can't wait for next year!

Hello!

I decided to re-surface for a few minutes to let you know that yes I am still around. I'm having the time of my life with my sister and the rest of my family. I might show my face again in a few months. But until then you can find me somwhere next to Nicole. :) I'm off to hear another story, give another hug, giggle about nothing, engage in a heart to heart talk, or just stand next to her. Tootles!

Prayer

Last Wed. night our family heard a message on prayer. It was so good and G. knew that was exactly what I needed. I want to share the verses and points with all of you.
Acts 16:25-31
And at midnight Paul and Silas pr. and sang praises unto G. and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: And imediatly all the doors were open, and every ones bands were loosed.
And the keeper of the prison awakening out of his sleep, and seeing prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and silas, and brought them out and said sirs what must I do to be S?
And they said, believe on the L. J. C., and though shalt be S, and thy house.
1. Start pr. then you can start praising
2. People will start to hear and see the peace
3. When you pr. things get shook up
4. Doors will open
5. Bands are loosed
6. People fear G.
7. People get saved

Bike Riding

Last week Mom took us kids and two babysitting kids on the bike trail in West Chester. It started off well. We were all excited, the bikes worked, we had packed plenty of water, (or so we thought) and we were loaded up and ready to go. We went along just fine for about three miles when our bikes started giving us fits, people started getting cranky (no names to protect the guilty) and we were running out of water. I'll spare you all the details and leave it up to your imagination. So we turned around and drove/ walked/ drug/ our selves and our bikes back to the van. It was alot of fun to say the least and we made lots of crazy fun memories! Here are afew pictures for your viewing pleasure.
Paying the trail fee.
Our Mom is the bestest! She's such a trooper! We love you Mom!
Drinking lots and lots...
...and lots of water!

Me trying to take a picture of my shadow while riding. :/
The happy bikers! We had fun...
...but we were all to happy to see this sign!

Randomness

Nic has been begging me to do a random picture post. So here you go Nic

Tea time is the best of times!

One of the best things to do on an over cast, cool day is to have a tea party. We decided to switch our tea party day to Friday since I have off. I happened to be randomly working for the Yoders this last Friday but made sure I was off in time for some tea. :)
Mom, Grace, and Aubrey, were home baking up a storm. (Beth had gone to work with Dad that day.) Mom put little flowers on the tops of all the sugar cubes along with making biscotii, rye bread sandwiches, and cheese patties.

A Mom's touch is the best!
Some people (no names to protect the guilty) get carried away.
Had to put this picture up. Grace took it. She's getting really good even on our little camera.
The lovely ladies. (Minus the camera girl, the china doll, and betty.)

Date with Daddy

(All pictures compliments of Grace)

Tree house

The boys have been working on this 'home away from home' really hard the last couple of days. It's turning out to be rather large and very cool! We joke and call it the 'Honey moon suit'! Keep looking for more updates on this new addition. :)

Day at the park...

If this isn't an Aubrey face I don't know what is. :)

Grace, Beth, and Mitch on the tire swing.

They had no problem getting on but Grace was having a hard time getting off without getting wet.

Alittle help from our man and she was off in a flash

A Timothy... are you sure you knew what you were doing?
